A Lagos based lawyer, Mr Fred Agbaje has said the judgement of the Supreme Court on the eligibility of the Ekiti State governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose to contest for the governorship office was the best that can happened.
Agbaje who expressed his support for the judgement, noted that as the  the apex court in the country where parties ventilate their grievances, its decision must be binding.

He expressed his support for the judgement saying,  “I am totally in line with the Supreme Court judgement. The judgement of the Supreme Court cannot be faulted. Those expecting the court to manufacture evidence to nail Fayose should look else where for that.
“It has been held severally that the court is not a father Christmas that dole out what you did not ask for or what one does not merit.  So, this is another chance for those who have been arguing that the elections were rigged to be well prepared and must be ready to prove their case. “Therefore, what the apex court has done is the best in this circumstances”
Calling on those who are planning to approach the court or tribunals for election petition, Agbaje said they must armed themselves with adequate evidences to buttress their cases.
“So, if one goes to the election tribunal or goes to court to challenge election against a winner in the poll, you must armed yourself with adequate proof. The court cannot be hoodwink in taking decision that is not in tandem with the law and principles of the rule of law.” He added.
