The BET Honors 2015 happened last night, Jan. 24, in Washington, D.C. at the Warner Theatre. And pictured above are North West's parents who came to slay! Check them out at the event, which established in 2008, is The BET Honors seventh year esteeming the lives and achievements of African-American luminaries.
Five outstanding individuals were recognized for their groundbreaking accomplishments in art,
music, theater, education, technology and business at the 2015 BET Honors. The honorees are as follows:- Kanye West: receiving the Visionary Award since he's highly regarded in the world of hip-hop.
- Usher: receiving the Musical Arts Award since he has grown so much as an artist over the years.
- Phylicia Rashad received the Theatrical Arts Award due to her triumphs as an actress.
- Dr. Johnnetta Betsch Cole is receiving the Education Award for her amazing educational voyage and professional career, including being the Director of the National Museum of African Art, Smithsonian Institution.
- Microsoft Chairman/Virtual Instruments CEO John W. Thompson received the Technology and Business Award for building progress at some of America's top companies.
